The Hudson Bay Axe’s signature head shape may have originated in northern Spain, but it was enthusiastically adopted by trappers, hunters, and fishermen on expeditions along the Hudson Bay. Today, whether pounding tent stakes or more traditional uses, the Hudson Bay axe is a favorite of outdoor enthusiasts. Featuring a 1-3\/4 lb. American steel head on a 24″ select American hickory handle, this axe includes a genuine leather blade guard. Since Snow & Nealley changed hands several years ago, the Hudson Bay axe is once again hand-finished in a craftsman’s shop in northern Maine.<\/p>\n
